The Jo Skibby Teacher Training Scholarship is sponsored
and coordinated by the Southern California Consortium of the International
Dyslexia Association.
This fund offers financial aid for teachers and students who are
studying to become teachers and who wish to attend conferences,
seminars and teacher training workshops.
The Scholarship funds can only be applied towards registration
fees. Scholarship funds can not be applied towards transportation,
lodging or meals.
Applications are reviewed and approved by the Scholarship Committee.
It is important that the information presented at the workshop,
seminar or conference is in agreement with the philosophies of the
International Dyslexia Society.

Dyslexia Association. Requests for scholarships will be forwarded
to the Southern California Consortium of the IDA.

The San Diego Branch of the International Dyslexia Association
attracts and provides professional expertise that supports
parents, teachers, students, and others who are affected by
dyslexia. The Branch raises awareness about dyslexia, offers
training and technical assistance to the community, and makes
appropriate service referrals. The Branch also serves as a
point of connectivity that creates greater support for those
who are affected by learning challenges."
